How API Points work
Instead of per-endpoint fees, SimVector uses a points pool. Every time you pull or refresh data an amount of points is consumed proportional to the size of the dataset. When you stay within your plan's monthly pool — or your purchased balance — there are no surprise charges.
- A small regional schedule costs fewer points than a global network — costs scale with your actual usage.
- Points reset monthly with your subscription. Top up any time with one-off point purchases — purchased points never expire.
- Schedule Cloud streaming (the core schedule feed) does not consume points — points are spent on live data enrichments like gate assignments and ETAs.
Subscriptions vs. purchased points
A subscription isn't required to use SimVector — you can operate entirely on purchased points if you prefer. Subscriptions provide a predictable monthly capacity at the best per-point rate and help cover the platform's ongoing operating costs.
Purchased points are sold at a small premium and are a good fit for occasional or bursty usage. They stack on top of your subscription balance if you have one.
Software modules sold separately
The subscription and points system covers SimVector data products. Standalone software modules — such as CH Hub Manager for phpVMS — are sold separately and are not purchasable with points.
